So, I'm going to do this blogging thing, as long as I think we are doing interesting enough things to blog about. So, let's hope we keep things exciting!
We finally got here! Emotions are everywhere I think. It's about what we expected, but you can't know how it will feel until you are here. At this very moment, I'm loving it.
I'm sitting on our "couch" with Rocco, the sun is coming up over the seemingly abandoned building across the street, and it's very beautiful! Also, the icing on the cake, I get to watch regular TV!
We left Monday at 6:30 am from Boise, went to Salt Lake, then to New York, London, and Tripoli. We were very blessed to be able to fly business class. The flights up until the last one were great for me, a little cramped for Rob. The layover in London was stressful, to say the least, which carried over onto our flight from there to here. Although, I did sit next to a guy from London who really loved Rocco, and bought him a little stuffed animal on the flight. I thought that was so sweet.
So, fast-forward, they lost our luggage, we were introduced to our new home, neighbors, and all the drivers, chefs, and front desk guys that work at our guest house. Everyone has been so nice and welcoming!
After dinner, we went on a scavenger hunt with Mohammad, the van driver. We were on a mission to find converters for our computers, and shampoo, soap, and diapers. We had to drive around a bit, but we got everything we needed!
Today, Rob went to work. I will meet him there later, then we'll go to the airport to see about our things.
Well, Little Rocco is crying, so that's all for now.
Today we will go check if our luggage is here, and Rob has work.
Hmm..drivers, chef, front desk worker! Sounds nice! so does this mean you never have to cook?? that would be great. I am so jealous that you are living over there..i hope i can have the experience of living outside the us one day.
ReplyDeleteps. i am sure that i will be reading your blogs..post lots of pics and video.
