Hey Everyone! Still in Idaho. Sorry to all the people that read this wanting to know about Libya.
It has been so great to see friends and family! McCall was awesome, and went by way too fast. The water was cold as always, but that makes cuddling up with a blanket all the better!
We now have 3 full days left here and while I know once I get back to Tripoli I will get back into the swing of things, I'm not exactly looking forward to the adjustment. The trip, 20 some hours, and the time change, 8 or 9 hours, will be tough.
I am,, however, looking forward to the peace and quiet of Libya. I enjoy the days that Rocco and I spend at home don't little to nothing. I have a lot of those in my future though, so I'm enjoying the busy days I have left.
I will post something new and exciting once I get back, don't you worry!

Never looked so good...
I don't remember the last time I wrote here. Sorry. I think I only feel like I have something to write about when something happens, or we go somewhere fun.
I am somewhere fun, so I guess I'll write something! I've been in Idaho for the last week, and am enjoying it very much. So far I've gone swimming, bike riding, river walking, and have been able to see lots of good friends. Oh, and the food. Gotta love the food!

I can't believe it's been five years already. I sure love that man. I'm excited for him to be here in a week. I miss him.
This is a seat they have in the Walmart bathroom. Genius, isn't it? Smart, but I still can't stand that store.
Oooookay, bed time.

Time with the Djerbals
Melissa and Rocco left last Wednesday for home. After a terribly stressful trip they made it home and hopefully enjoying their time. I'm sure Rocco was happy to see Grandpa and vice versa. They were best buds during their time here and Rocco always asked about Grandpa after he left Libya. So I am here alone and missing them a lot.
I went to Djerba hoping that would make the time go by and keep me busy but it just made it worse. Then I was away from family and home and just wished I had stayed in Tripoli. However I did enjoy some parts of the trip. I took several hours to relax and read on the beach as camels walked by. I rented a moped and cruised the island, nearly getting hit by a bus and taking out an entire front display of plates for sale. I never ever buy stuff at touristy shops but in this case I nearly bought every decorative plate they had. Assuming there was a "You break it, you bought it" policy in place. And then I also went to a crocodile farm that had hundreds of crocodiles. They were everywhere, big and small and it was pretty awesome. I can't say I want to goto Djerba again but I did find time to relax and read which was what I wanted to do. The drive is just too long and there isn't any food I care too much for. We did have one very good meal but mostly good in comparison to what else there was.
I think we may be moving this week. To the place directly beneath our current flat. It is very similar but Mel likes the floorplan better and the idea of walking up fewer stairs. I didn't want to move but mostly because moving is a lot of work. But Mel prefers the other place and a few guys, Bryson is one of them, preferred our larger place so we will probably move. I'm sure it will be great having more computers sharing the same terrible internet, but at least I know Bryson doesn't use it much. At least he won't if he knows what's good for him. : )
11 more wake-ups until I am heading to London and 12 until I get to see Melissa. Not counting the wake-ups I do when work gets too boring and also when I knock myself out on the plane. It's the only way to fly. I'm not sure if people are reading these much, I guess our lives got too boring for people. Sure doesn't feel like it around here but I'm a little more involved in what I'm doing than most people. Much love
PS I tried uploading a couple pictures from my trip but it wouldn't work. No worries, they weren't of Rocco anyway.
