A Few Good Ones...

It's been about six weeks since we got here. I've been doing quite a bit of cooking, and I figured I'd share some of the good ones I've found. No, I don't cook for low calorie, sugar, sodium, grain...or whatever else people aren't eating right now. I do try to make what ingredients I can, which seems to work out. So don't read this if you're on a diet. ;)

This one was a pretty big hit. My favorite part was the crust. It's made from coconut. It has the best texture. I'm pretty big on texture, and this is my favorite crust ever. It would be so good for a cheesecake I think. Not that it probably adds much, but I toasted the coconut for the top.
Oh, and if you want to enjoy this, don't look at the calories before you eat it. Or after for that matter.

I didn't try this one myself, but it seemed to be well liked.

Another Fave:
I did make the bread sticks, but also doubled the recipe so I could make pizzas that night. I used the ingredient list on Idaho Pizza's website to make the Sun Valley Veggie, and a chicken bacon pizza. I searched and searched for a good cream sauce. The best and simplest solution was SO good! Just make ranch dressing, of course nothing from a bottle. Spread that on, then spread Alfredo sauce on top of that. Also, of course, don't use it from a can.

Well, there have been more, but at the moment, I have Dinner Rolls that have finished rising.
Goodnight!

As a side note, these rolls were really good. Super delight.

More Zoo

Rocco, at the zoo on Friday. He loves the "roars", the "elphants", and the "shickens" (emus), but more than anything he loves the playground. Unfortunately he can't read quite as well as I'd like and does indeed drink the water. Ew Dose! (as he would say)

The Perth Mint

Everyone check your gold bars, they could be from the

I'm Posting this more so you can see how Rocco likes to dress, but also so you can see that we visited the Perth Mint on Saturday. It was fun, and we saw A LOT of gold. Rocco seemed to enjoy the gold pouring the most. He said Whoooaaaaa (when he saw the crazy bright trillion degree gold), which the gold pouring, skin tight pants wearing guide was amused by.

Kings Park

We have a great park a short walk (or if you're feeling lazy, you can take the bus) from our house. Actually, probably a few. Rocco LOVES playgrounds, and this one has a big one. It's kind of like three. Also, it has a cafe, which is always nice. I've never been there when it was open, but I'm sure it's lovely.
There is a fire truck there that Rocco loves. He does try to push smaller kids out so he can sit in it though. We're working on that :) When he does get to it and it's empty, he always demands that I sit in it with him. He does that with a lot of the sitting he does. If he sits down, he wants you to sit down with him. He points his little finger, and says "Sit! Sit!" Which is far better than when he mocks my "Sit down NOW!" (oops. Luckily, I think he's forgotten that now. )
Anyway, I always wish we could meet some of his cute little cousins here. They would love it!
