I would just like to point out that typing a whole blog with my thumbs only, is not only inefficient, but also VERY annoying! I forgot the cord to my laptop, and I accidentally took a nap until 9:30pm today. Why does that equal typing with my thumbs? Because I'm laying in bed with nothing else to do and I'm not tired, so the blogspot app is entertaining me. (my phone wanted to change blogspot to bloodspot. Creepy.)
I'm not sure how to add my pictures into my post, I'll just tell you all what try are and you can match the description with whichever picture you want.
One is of our stockings, that I fiiinally made. Right before we left to come to Texas. Procrastinate? Me? Never.
There are two of Rocco Taco at the airport on our way here. He adores that Cars backpack! It was wheeled around the whole airport by him. He was so good! I just said 'follow Daddy', and he did exactly that! It was super precious.
One of Jake pastoring us at his new church this morning.
There's Rocco and Jaxton playing. Rocco is singing. That face just cracks me up. He is talking more and more, and just as I predicted, he's pretty funny!
Also, a picture of Rocco on the Christmas caroling bus. He really loved that bus! It was a cold, uncomfortable old school bus. But he LoVeD it! I cannot even imagine taking one of those on a road trip, or staying out all night in that like we did in high school. Crazy kids.
I'm currently experiencing my first visit to Texas! It's been so nice to see everyone. We have a couple days left here, then home for a few weeks. Less than, really.
I guess maybe that's all I have to say. I'm a little nervous to push that publish button, considering I have no idea what this is going to look like. My 2am rambling blogs are hardly news worthy, but ogre thing gets neglected. So any attention is good attention... Maybe.
Zumba tomorrow! I've never done it, but I watched heather from the boring treadmill on Saturday, and was super jealous of the seemingly sweaty fun that was being had by all. I might even report back. But that would 3(!) blogs in one month. That seems excessive, don't you think?
Hope Everyone Enjoys The Rest Of The Year!!! I'm pretty excited for our New Years plans This year:)

Happy Thanksgiving!
Happy Thanksgiving!!
I hope everyone is fat, happy, and ready to shop tomorrow! Or, tonight at midnight. I don't think I will be shopping this year. I'm barely on the other side of the flu, and not feeling so great. Rob and Rocco are just getting it, and probably don't want to come with me.
I may not be able to resist though :)

Happy Halloween!
Happy Halloween!! (yesterday)
Rocco has been so obsessed with the movie Finding Nemo, that I HAD to dress him as Nemo for Halloween. Everyone loved his little chubby legs in those tights. My favorite part is the gimpy fin. Also his sweet little face :)We brought him down to Harrison Blvd. where apparently EVERYONE was. It was really fun to see all the other cute little kids in their costumes. It was crazy crowded though. Rob had to hobble on his crutches, but he was a good sport. Rocco said thank you to everyone, and was his usual sweet little self.

By the time we were headed home, he was SO tired from all the excitement and no nap. He was asleep by 8 o'clock, and awake this morning at 4 o'clock. Hopefully we can get him back to his pre Halloween schedule soon or I'm going to be too tired to function.
Alright, that's all for now. Hope everyone had a fun day yesterday!

The Birthday Boy
I've been slacking...sorry! We had Rocco's birthday party! It was really fun, and a big success. Here are a few of the pictures:
So he's two now. A sweet little two year old at that. His favorite thing to do now is watch Finding Nemo, but throwing rocks in the pond is a close second. I'm pretty sure if I'd let him, he's watch that movie all day, every day. He went to his first real Sunday school class last Sunday. Now that he's two, he gets to be a big boy. I think they learned that Jesus loves them. That's a safe bet, right?
As for the rest of us, we are doing quite well. I've been playing with my sewing machine a lot. Finding fun things to do from Pinterest. Also one of my favorite past times, baking. My most recent was find was this Snickerdoodle cake. It's pretty good. Other than that, I've been working.
Rob is planning a trip to Australia. He applied for his visa, and it should take 1-30 days to be completed. :) I'm hoping for the one day. But that's tomorrow. Sooo...
Here's Rocco at the pumpkin farm.
Ummm..
As I'm sure you saw in the news, Gaddafi is dead. Which is good, but I wish there weren't so many pictures of the body on my Facebook. It's really disturbing. I'm still hoping we can get our stuff back, but it isn't really looking good. We'll see. I'm pretty sure that statement applies for most aspects of our lives though. We'll see.
I can't ever think of what to blog about when I sit down to do it, and am feeling a little distracted right now. But there's my half hearted update!
I'll blog again when I have pictures of Rocco's Halloween costume. Last year he won a costume contest...this year, I don't think he will. Mostly because he won't be in one. He's going to be Nemo. It's a pretty funny little outfit. We'll see if he wears it.
Alright, that's all for now :)

Update Anyone?
Well, I wrote a blog and forgot to post it. So, I'll write a new one.
The update this week:
Rocco is almost 2! Which is totally crazy to me. His actual birthday is on Saturday, but I have to work, so his birthday party is on Sunday. It should be pretty fun. I've enjoyed planning it, and will post pictures...eventually :)
I remember him being born, and this last week of being pregnant like it was yesterday. He's almost just as sweet as he was then. Except he hits and says 'no' a little more often.
As far as the rest of our lives, I'd say more of the same. Which is good. It's a good life we have. Just enjoying this beautiful weather, and all our favorite shows that have come back on. As well as a few new ones.
As for now, I have purple play dough under my nails, and have to get to bed. Five in the morning comes sooner than you might think. Actually, you probably think that sounds early. It is.
Okay...that's all.

The Grass Is Always Greener...
So, as you may remember, or can look back on this blog, I didn't exactly love living in Libya. Oops. The truth is out : )
As we have now been back for over six months now, Rob and I both have discussed what we miss from Libya and that we wish we could go back. That's a mean trick I play on myself. Always wishing I am where I'm not, and forgetting to just enjoy what I'm doing and where I am right now. (although I do really enjoy being in Idaho, and working) Since realizing this, I really have been trying to stop wishing, and just live. Ha, that's about as deep as it gets...right?
Anyway, here are a few pictures from the blog, and things that I miss about Libya...(never thought I would say those four words together 'I miss about Libya')

Turkish Restaurant: They had the best food there, hands down.

The Sea (NOT the trashy beaches, but I could see the sea from my kitch window. That was nice.)
Traveling

The Medina, Old City, Green Square...whatever you want to call it. Walking around downtown.
O2 Best Pancakes in Libya! Well, maybe it's more sentimental?
Our funny little apartment...NOT the roaches. Well, I think there was only one. I taped an envelope over the hole he would crawl in and out of, and I never saw him again.
The weird things we would amuse ourselves with..
We never could break the egg by pushing the ends...btw.

The Mangos! I just can't make this salsa here, it doesn't taste right.
![]() |
The weather?? Sometimes.
![]() |
Always being on a mission to make something from home out of the ingredients I could find here and there. It was a fun game I played with Rocco.

When Rocco actually helped around the house. I can't get him to do anything these days! : ) Well, that's all I have pictures of. I also really miss my things I had to leave there. Which is silly. They're just things. For the most part I've replaced my wardrobe, but there are things that can't be replaced. Souvenirs from our trips, Rocco's baby book, Rob's baseball mitt, and just random things I am weirdly attached to. Anyway, there's my post for today. Maybe another one for tomorrow? I just don't know :) For now, I need to go running. I was doing bootcamp at work every day, but now they only do it Mon, Wed, Fri. So I have to muster up my own motivation on the other days. I'm not so good at that. As for the running, it's a love hate relationship. I was just told on Saturday(? I think) that I will be doing the Susan G. Koman Race for the Cure in a couple weeks, so I should probably as least try to prepare? I just don't want to walk it, it will take forever, and I have to work at noon. Eh, it's only a few miles.... we'll see. We'll see. Have a good day everyone!

The Rainy City (Sans Rain)
We got to visit Seattle last week! The weather was perfect, the drive was easy, and the fun was...fun.
Rocco was so good in the car. Especially on the way there, when he slept more than half of it.

Triple Doubles...blowing your mind? It's an oreo cookie, double stuff "frosting", oreo cookie, then chocolate "frosting", then another oreo cookie. WHOA.
We stopped at Snoqualmie Falls on our way. On our honeymoon we stayed at a hotel that looks over this waterfall, so we wanted to stop real quick to say hi again.
![]() |
He was ready for an adventure.
![]() |
We found the original Starbucks first, of course.
![]() |
Breakfast was at Portage Bay. They had really good french toast, with a toppings bar. So good.
Kind of a long wait though...

The next day, we went to the Aquarium. Rocco had a lot of fun running around looking at the different fish. We heard 'WHOAAA' and 'LOOK!' a lot.
He wasn't digging this one though...he ran away.
We ate at the top of the Space Needle. Another thing we did on our honeymoon and wanted to relive.
