It's nice when the patio isn't full, it looks out on the sea. They did have a huge cement wall there so you couldn't see it, but they have recently torn that down. Oh, and if you live here, and want me to tell you where O2 is, I can't. I have NO idea. Sorry.
At some point while I was gone they decided they needed lines on the road. I don't know if this is a new thing, or if they are just doing it again after it has been worn off. It's quite comical though. It seems like, with all due respect, they don't actual serve a purpose. It would seem, they just know that roads usually have lines, so they will put lines on the road. Some roads have the lane lines, but the "lanes" aren't near big enough for a car. Most roads aren't even big enough for two cars to be on them with all the cars that park on either side. Anyway, we got to laugh about it today, and here is an example of the lines on our street, above and to the left.
Another fun thing that is happening...the house across the street is getting a face lift. Apparently that entails having a dozen or so men chiseling the stucco off for 12 hours a day for now two days, and they aren't done yet. All day, all we hear is pounding. I can't even imagine what the people inside the house are thinking. I can only hope there isn't anyone in there. So, it's an eye sore, but that blends in with the scenery.
The rest of it is pretty much the same as our last apartment. I like the kitchen better in this one, mainly for the balcony. We went from no balconies to 3. We did give up the extra inch or so of our view of the sea.
Now that our trip to McCall is over, we are looking forward to September 3rd, when we will be headed to Washington District of Columbia, then on to New York City. We are meeting some family there, so it will be really fun. Maybe our good friend B-Rock will pick us up from the airport...we'll see.
Anyway, this is getting really long. I don't blame anyone if you just skim through and look at the pictures. So, I'm out. Hope everyone is having good days, and I miss everyone back home so much! Go for a bike ride and wear a tank top for me!! : )
I love reading your take on things here and what sticks out to you. And perhaps their lines in the road process is just far too complicated for Americans. Or perhaps ridiculous. Yeah, ridiculous, but hilarious.
ReplyDeleteYesterday I wore a tank top AND went on a bike ride :) ...that was before I read this but I will pretend it was for YOU.
