Yeah, no drainage system. We can get wherever we need to go, just a little slower than normal. Which is probably good. I'll be home for a visit in 8 weeks. May the countdown begin!
I have just found your blog and this made me laugh. I lived in Tripoli with 2 young kids in the eighties and our road regularly flooded and seeped into the car. The kids always had to wear their wellingtons in the car as when I drove uphill the water from the front became like a tidal wave into the back. Flooding was common all over the city and interrupted very important occasions like Halloween parties when the water was 6 foot deep and the electricity failed. Happy days.
I've just found this blog which raised a smile. I lived with 2 very young kids in Tripoli in the 80's. Our road regularly flooded and it seeped into the car, the kids always had to wear wellington boots as when I drove uphill all the water from the front came like a tidal wave into the back. Flooding was a regular event all over the city interrupting very special occasions like Halloween parties. Had to be towed out of many a big puddle! Happy days.
Wow! I'm guessing there is no drainage there. :) Don't float away!
