In no particular order, here are the goings on for the last week or so... On Monday Rob and I celebrated our 7th anniversary with a lunch date and an evening at home. Nothing too exciting, but it was really nice to be able to go to lunch sans a squirmy Rocco. After lunch I went to Target and got Rocco some play dough, crayons, and markers. He has been sick and needed some good indoor activities to distract him from not being able to go out and play with his friends that play in our driveway. We actually only hung out with them one time, but he loves his friends!

Wednesday I had an appointment with my GP to get the results from the Ultrasound we did last week. They moved my due date to November 16th, so that was good to be able to skip being 21 weeks :) Not that baby boy really takes into consideration what day he is supposed to come...it's all a mind game. Also, he told us that the baby has the same kidney fluid thing that Rocco had. So that was a boo, but I'm hoping it turns out as well, or better than Rocco's did. If I remember correctly, Rocco's lasted quite a bit longer than what is average. Other than that, all is well, and he looks beautiful! We are, however having troubles with our stairs. They seem to have something against us. Well, so far just Rocco and I. I feel on them last week, and yesterday, and Rocco fell on them tonight. My falls were painful, but didn't result in anything more than a tender bum. Rocco's however, has gifted him a nice big fat lip, and an even bigger gap in his front teeth. It was the saddest thing. I had JUST told him to stay upstairs after he said he wanted to go down and see Grandpa. (who was in bed, otherwise he is more than welcome to go see Grandpa) So I'm thinking that in his sneaking, he lost his balance. The past 5 or so weeks that we have lived here I've tried to teach him to always hold on the rail, but I guess he forgot this time. So, that was sad, but he seems to be fine now. I will take him to the doctor soon and have it looked at, but he doesn't seem to be in any pain.
We are currently still awake and watching the movie Rio. It's a cute movie, and Rocco thinks the birds are "sweethearts".
Ooooh! this afternoon I tried a recipe for Taco John's tater tot seasoning. It really tasted like them! I adore Taco John's tater tots, so this was really exciting for me.
Did you have to make the tator tots, too?
ReplyDeletePoor Rocco, that must have been scary for him. Mama better be holding on to the rails too. :)
ReplyDeleteI remember seeing pictures of those stairs and being quite concerned. November 16 is a great day as Cameron and Beka will probably agree. I am so excited to try the tots seasoning since they will be good for me! Thanks.
ReplyDeleteI mixed up the seasoning, it was great! Now thinking of other things I can sprinkle it on.
